The Position:

  • Manage publication processing involving the agency’s evolving library of print, digital and e-newsletter publications; oversee and maintain magazine, trade journal and other publication subscriptions for agency; interface with publications’ circulation departments, publishers and advertising reps to obtain periodical subscriptions and media kits from them; read, track and report on received publications daily and weekly; monitor all applicable publications/media outlets and websites for client publicity coverage; create digital scans of print coverage and PDFs of online coverage for clients; and report media coverage placements, their impressions and other details across various clients of the firm.
  • Assisting with assigned client accounts to ensure a variety of integrated marketing campaigns and program plans are in compliance, and clients’ general needs are met and exceeded on a consistent basis.

Public Relations Intern: 

ATTENTION: We have an opening for a paid internship that offers an opportunity for school credit if applicable + extensive training and orientation on the basics and fundamentals of working in the fast-paced field of public relations. The minimum term is one-month and the typical term is three-months.

Our main office is based in Midtown Atlanta, and we also have a satellite office in New York City. Our Atlanta location has an immediate opening for an entrepreneurial, self-starting individual to join our growing team. The Position:

  • Assisting with assigned client accounts to ensure marketing campaigns and program plans comply, and clients’ general needs are met and exceeded on a consistent basis.
  • Assisting with a variety of integrated marketing campaigns across assigned client accounts.
  • Providing research and other support for developing/implementing strategic PR plans, campaigns and media pitches.
  • Conducting market/media research and applying findings to documentation, projects and campaigns.
  • Assisting with social and digital media campaigns and content for the firm and assigned clients.
  • Assisting with efforts to maintain company procedures, internal reports/updates and best practices.
  • Assisting with media monitoring, scanning and reporting of client media coverage.
  • Assisting with strategic media relations, media pitching, press campaigns, and monitoring for / yielding publicity placements.
  • Disseminating and tracking press releases and other news/channels, monitoring for a range of content in advance and at the time of publication.
  • Writing and proofing press releases, articles, product profiles, reports, and other narratives based upon tactical campaigns and clients’ program plans.
  • Overseeing and managing print / digital publication libraries and databases for the firm and clients.
  • Conceptualizing and supervising social media campaigns to include research/development, execution, day-to-day management, and insights/results reports.
  • Creating charts or graphs for evaluating effectiveness and progress of campaigns and measuring/reporting results.
  • Developing reports outlining public relations activities, results, goals, and deliverables for assigned clients.
  • Writing, proofing and editing a variety of narratives with the use of Associated Press guidelines.
  • Coordinating select client speaker’s bureau, speaking engagement acquisitions, and event research/planning and publicity.
  • Assisting with advertising planning to include general research, rate card/editorial calendar strategies, scheduling advertisements, ad copywriting, reporting, etc.
  • Satisfying a mix of evolving and deadline-oriented client deliverables and expectations with a high level of flexibility, passion and professionalism.
  • Assisting with brainstorming, creative and strategy planning sessions.

Skills and background required:

  • Four-year degree or coursework in one of the following: Public relations, marketing, journalism or similar.
